Cédric Plesse
(40yo) Associate professor at LPPI (CY) since 2006 (Habilitation in 2014)
Research Topics: his research focus on the synthesis of polymeric materials for energy conversion with specific interest on the charge transport/mechanical properties relationship: (i) electrical to mechanical (actuators), (ii) mechanical to electrical (sensors) and (iii) solar to electrical (stretchable photovoltaics). These works focus on pi-conjugated and conducting polymers as electronic conductors, ionogels and polyelectrolytes as ionic conductors and on their combination into interpenetrating polymer network architecture. Additional functionalities and topics like thermoresponsive behavior (shape memory polymers), processability of polymer networks (vitrimers) and smart textiles are also investigated.
